These sticky sweet balls are made out of rice, sugar and water. Gambians like to eat it for breakfast with milk or without milk. It is usually sold out by women in the streets. The cost of one is only 1GMD.
We believe getting to know a country through its food can bring you more close to people and their culture. We would recommend everyone visiting The Gambia for the first time to try at least one or two traditional dishes.
Welcome to The Gambia!
